Charlie Condon Homers, Collects Four RBI at High-A
Charlie Condon walked, doubled, and homered in a 2-for-3 day at the plate on Tuesday for High-A Spokane, driving in four runs and scoring twice as well. It was the 22-year-old's fourth multi-hit game in his last six, now hitting .333 (14-for-42) with three doubles, two home runs, and an 11:9 BB:K through 12 games since being assigned to the Indians following a nine-game rehab assignment. The Rockies' top offensive prospect injured his wrist in the preseason, which kept him out until the beginning of May. With some more success, a quick promotion to Double-A could be in the cards for the 6-foot-6 slugger, and with the state of the Colorado offense, it's not out of the realm of possibility to see Condon in the majors by year's end if he impresses enough. Fellow first-round draft pick Jac Caglianone just made his MLB debut after logging 79 games in the minors, and Condon would join others from the 2024 draft class that made quick work of the minors if he were to get the call later this year.
