MLB DFS Picks Today: Daily Fantasy Baseball Strategy and Tips For FanDuel, DraftKings (6/22/25)

TJ Friedl - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Andy's top DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks for today, Sunday, 6/22/25. His favorite daily fantasy baseball lineup sleepers and value picks for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Welcome Back, RotoBallers! We have a six-game slate (seven on FanDuel) of MLB action to close out the weekend. For this piece, we will only be analyzing the six games that both DraftKings and FanDuel carry on their main slate. However, for FanDuel players, the Diamondbacks are a top stack in Coors Field facing the Rockies.

On the hitting side, the Milwaukee Brewers, Seattle Mariners, and Cincinnati Reds have top matchups and could light up the scoreboard. On the pitching side, Chris Bassitt appears primed to notch another quality start.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/22/2025, with the slate starting at 1:35 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will showcase elite players, mid-priced options, and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is always essential.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Chris Bassitt - TOR vs. CHW (DK: $8.5K; FD: $9.6K)

Over his last three outings, Bassitt has logged 20 innings ot the tune of a strong 3.60 ERA and a 1.10 WHIP. During this stretch, Bassitt has struck out 14 batters and allowed just five free passes.

This afternoon, he will be in a prime position to stay productive, facing the Chicago White Sox, who have posted the sixth-highest strikeout rate against right-handed pitching this season.

Andrew Abbott - CIN at STL (DK: $9.7K; FD: $9.7K)

Since May 1, the lefty boasts an impressive 1.35 ERA and a 0.97 WHIP. Across these 53 1/3 innings, he has tallied 49 strikeouts and allowed just 12 walks. This afternoon, he will face the Cardinals, who have generated the 11th-lowest ISO against southpaws this season.

While they have struck out at the 11th-lowest rate, their inability to hit for power should put Abbott in a great position to succeed.

Jack Leiter - TEX at PIT (DK: $7.3K; FD: $8.6K)

Yes, I know, the ace on the slate, Logan Gilbert, is not under my top plays. While his upside is not questioned, and he has the ability to finish as the top pitcher with quite ease, I'd rather fade him facing a potent Cubs lineup. I won't fault you if you choose him, but I would rather target some potent bats, especially with the weather warming up.

My final pitcher to highlight is Jack Leiter. Leiter has struggled at times but has flashed upside on several occasions. He has struck out at least six batters in three starts and could be primed to rack up punchouts facing the Pirates, who have posted the ninth-highest K% against right-handed pitching and the third-lowest wRC+.

Also Consider: Logan Gilbert at CHC, Bailey Falter vs. TEX

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Rhys Hoskins, 1B - MIL at David Festa (DK: $3.7K, FD: $2.9K)

Over the last 13 games (entering Saturday), Hoskins has been in a slump, hitting just two home runs with five total hits. During this stretch, Hoskins has struck out 18 times and walked just three times. However, he should be in a great spot to return to form.

This afternoon, he will face fastball-heavy right-hander David Festa. When facing four-seamers from right-handed pitching this season, Hoskins has generated a strong .507 xSLG with a .261 ISO. Festa throws his four-seamer 35.5% of the time.

Elly De La Cruz, SS - CIN at Miles Mikolas (DK: $6.2K, FD: $4.1K)

Since June 1, Elly De La Cruz has gone deep six times. Entering Saturday, the superstar held an impressive .305/.414/.627 slash line with a 1.041 OPS through his first 17 games of the month.

He is slated to face right-hander Miles Mikolas, who relies on a four-seamer that has not found much success in limiting hard contact (.708 xSLG). When facing four-seamers from right-handed pitching this season, De LA Cruz has posted an elite .475 xwOBA, and a .397 ISO. He is a must-play on this slate.

Agustin Ramirez, C - MIA vs. Bryce Elder (DK: $3.9K, FD: $3K)

My final infielder to highlight is the rookie backstop in Miami. Over his past eight games (entering Saturday), Ramirez has posted four multi-hit games and has launched three long balls.

He should be in a prime position to stay hot at the dish facing Bryce Elder. Elder relies primarily on a sinker, which has generated a .352 xwOBA and a low 12.4% whiff rate.

When facing sinkers from right-handed pitching this season, Ramirez has posted a strong .431 xSLG and a .321 xwOBA.

Also Consider: Cal Raleigh, C - SEA, Brice Turang, 2B - MIL, Matt McLain, 2B on DK (2B/SS on FD) - CIN, Matt Olson, 1B - ATL

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Christian Yelich, OF - MIL at David Festa (DK: $4.8K, FD: $3.6K)

Like his teammate Hoskins, Yelich has also found success against four-seamers from right-handed pitching. When facing this pitch, this season, Yelich has been uber productive, posting a .373 xwOBA with a .244 ISO, which is right in line with Hoskins' mark.

However, unlike Hoskins, Yelich enters this game on a hot streak. Over his last seven games, entering Saturday, Yelich has posted a .400/.419/.633 line with four doubles, one home run, and 11 RBI.

TJ Friedl, OF - CIN at Miles Mikolas (DK: $4.7K, FD: $3.3K)

TJ Friedl has continued to be one of the most underrated hitters through the first half of the campaign. Entering Saturday, Friedl has posted a .275/.370/.550 line with two doubles and three home runs over his last 10 contests.

Similar to De La Cruz, Friedl has found much of his success when facing four-seamers, especially from right-handed pitchers. In this matchup, the 29-year-old has posted a .413 xSLG and a .370 xwOBA, which only trails De La Cruz among Reds' hitters who have seen at least 200 four-seamers.

Randy Arozarena, OF - SEA at Colin Rea  (DK: $3.7K, FD: $3.1K)

Outside of tallying three hits on Friday, Arozarena has held a modest .240 AVG through his last eight games (entering Saturday). However, the outfielder will be in a prime position to find success against Chicago right-hander Colin Rea.

When facing four-seamers from right-handed pitching (Rea's most-used pitch), Arozarena has generated a .546 xSLG and a .411 xwOBA, both of which are the highest marks on the team among hitters who have seen over 150 four-seamers this season.

Also Consider: Julio Rodriguez, OF - SEA, Marcell Ozuna, OF - ATL, Jesus Sanchez, OF - MIA, Jackson Chourio, OF - MIL

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Milwaukee Brewers at David Festa (MIN)

In his three starts in June, Festa has posted an 8.10 ERA with a 1.35 WHIP. While his ratios are inflated due to his eight-run explosion on June 5, his underlying metrics suggest he may not find much success this afternoon.

He currently sits in the sixth percentile in xERA, 12th percentile in barrel rate, 20th percentile in hard-hit rate, and 10th percentile in ground-ball rate. His primary pitch, his four-seamer, has generated a .401 xwOBA.

Cincinnati Reds at Miles Mikolas (STL)

Over his last four outings (21 innings), Mikolas has posted a high 6.43 ERA with a 1.62 WHIP. During this stretch, Mikolas has struck out just 14 batters. Under the hood, he sits in the 31st percentile in xERA and the 22nd percentile in xBA.

As noted above, his primary pitch, his four-seamer, has not found much success. This pitch has generated a hefty .708 xSLG with a .446 xwOBA.

Seattle Mariners at Colin Rea (CHC)

My final stack to consider is the Seattle Mariners facing the Cubs. They will face Rea, who enters this game with a 3.84 ERA and a 1.32 WHIP. He is due for some significant regression, given the rather high 4.94 xERA and .292 xBA under the hood.

His primary pitch, his four-seamer, which he throws 46.7% of the time, has generated a .509 xSLG and a .366 xwOBA.

Also Consider: Marlins vs. Bryce Elder, Braves at Sandy Alcantara

Note - The Arizona Diamondbacks are a top stack to target on FanDuel. They would slot in alongside the Brewers as the No. 1 option on the slate. They are not included on DraftKings' main slate.
