Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS Picks (10/5/21) - DraftKings Daily Fantasy

Koby Hansons' DraftKings. DFS lineup picks for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on 10/5/21. He analyzes CS:GO slates and top targets for eSports DFS contests.

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another edition of my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS picks. It has been a while, I was on vacation for a little while and when I came back the slates consisted of a bunch of best of 1's. But we finally get a good slate of Best of threes and I'm ready to dive into this slate and get you guys the best advice possible! This is just a couple of 9th-12th place decider matches for the teams who didn't do too well in the group stage of the IEM Fall tournament. First up we have Heroic taking on BiG as well as FaZe taking on OG. Reminder though, these teams are still playing on LAN so take that into account when deciding who you are going to stack.

Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS lineup picks, analysis, and advice for eSports DFS contests on DraftKings for Tuesday, October 5th, 2021, at 11:00 am

IEM Fall 2021 Europe

Best of 3

  • Heroic (-225) vs. BiG (+170)
  • OG (-120) vs. FaZe (-110)

Captain Plays

broky: Broky is definitely one of my favorite options, cause I see this game being very close and I think we could see some high scores coming from this one. FaZe made a run in their last LAN tournament and if they want a chance of anything in the future of this tournament, they will need broky to step up. We are also getting him at a fantastic price of 8,200$. Broky in the matches they won was putting up really good numbers. As he had +12, +11, and +4 in all three wins. FaZe also played OG in a tournament last month and FaZe came out on top but it was still really close. I think we see something similar. Over the last month of play, broky has a 1.23 K/D with a .74 KPR and a low .60 DPR.

mantuu: I think you can definitely run broky back with mantuu. These are both the top players for their respective teams. mantuu has been lighting it up during this tournament, even when their team loses. He has dropped at least 19+ kills with at least a +3 K/D differential or better in all 5 of the team's games during this tournament. Also in their last matchup, they may have lost, but mantuu still went +16 on the day with 62 kills. I really do think this game goes three maps and these two guys are going to be the top talent. Over the last month of play, mantuu has a 1.10 K/D with a .64 KPR and a very low .58 DPR.

Other captain plays in order of preference: TeSeS, cadian, syrson (GPP), Twistzz, flamez

Value Plays

Sjuush: Sjuush is not usually a player I end up talking about from Heroic. But he has played well in this tournament so far and has been decent on LAN in the past tournament as well. In LAN events he has a 1.06 K/D with a .68 KPR and a .64 DPR. So far during this tournament, it has only been the best of ones. He has a +9, +6, and two even K/D differentials. With only one negative game in the first match of the tournament. At 5,800$ on DraftKings, I think we are getting sneaky good value at the moment. Sjuush should be highly considered in your Heroic stacks.

rain: At 6,800$ I think we are getting a great value play for FaZe stacks. During this event, rain has played much better than he usually does. I think that attributes to it being on LAN where he sees a .07 increase in KPR and an increase from a 1.00 to a 1.10 K/D as well. This game should be close and we could see some high scores from this game and a good value play could be necessary to get those top plays on the board. rain has been a top 3 player for this team and I expect that to continue into tomorrow's matchup against OG. In the previous matchup as well he went for +10 on 58 kills. Hopefully something we can see tomorrow as well.

Other value plays in order of preference: refrezh, karrigan, Aleksib, k1to(GPP)

Top Stacks / Team Picks

Heroic: I think both of these games end up being very close but, I'm going to go with the bigger favorite here. Neither BiG nor Heroic looked great in the group stage, but I would say overall Heroic is the better team here. BiG didn't look very good as their two wins in the group stage were against FPX, and then they barely pulled off the win against AURA, who I would say was the worst team in this tournament. Heroic's two losses came at the hands of SinnerS and Astralis both of which looked very good. I also see Heroic as the better LAN team.

As for the players, everyone has been playing much better in this event except for stavn who has struggled. So for now at his price, I'm not big on stavn and would prefer to fade. As for the rest, they all have had their games. I would say cadian and refrezh have both really stepped up and TeSeS has been good but not as great as we usually see him. sjuush has also been sneakily good. He has flashed upside of +9 and +6 and only has one negative game at -1. Heroic looks to be the more well-rounded team and I like them to beat BiG.

Other stacking options: FaZe, OG
