Andrew Painter - Fantasy Baseball Prospects Waiver Wire Stashes (Week 10)

Fantasy Baseball Prospects, Waiver Wire Stashes, MLB Rookies Call-Ups Sleepers

Andrew Painter is a fantasy baseball waiver wire stash for Week 10 (2025). Target Andrew Painter as a top prospect free-agent waiver wire pickup for fantasy baseball.

BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ team leagues

CALL-UP ETA: June

ANALYSIS: Philadelphia Phillies right-handed pitching prospect Andrew Painter should be viewed as a high-priority stash entering Week 10. Painter is nearing the completion of his buildup. He underwent Tommy John surgery in July 2023 and was slowly increasing his workload this season. He did not pitch in spring training and opened the campaign with Low-A before getting the call to Triple-A.

However, this past week, Painter made his fourth start with Triple-A and could be fastly approaching his MLB debut. Earlier in the season with Low-A, Painter held a 3.97 ERA with a 0.97 WHIP across 11 1/3 innings of work.

In his most recent outing at Triple-A Lehigh Valley, Painter logged five innings of two-run ball with five punchouts and one walk. This was the second time in his four Triple-A starts in which Painter logged five innings of work. Across 17 total innings at the top level of the minor leagues, the former 13th overall pick has held a 2.65 ERA with a 1.24 WHIP.

He has struck out 20 batters and allowed seven walks.

During the 2022 season, before his Tommy John surgery, Painter tossed 103 2/3 innings across time at Low-A, High-A, and Double-A. During this season, Painter established himself as one of the top pitching prospects in the sport as he struck out 155 batters and held an incredible 1.56 ERA with a 0.89 WHIP.

Given his elite strikeout upside, he is worth stashing in all 12+ team leagues. When the 22-year-old gets the call, he will likely have a spot in the starting rotation for the remainder of the campaign.
